About KHC

Mission Statement/ Who We Are

The Knoxville Housing Cooperative, rooted in the historic 4th & Gill neighborhood, empowers members to achieve home ownership while preserving the character of our homes. By offering affordable rents and a supportive, member-operated community, we help individuals save, grow, and build better futures.

The Knoxville Housing Cooperative (KHC) provides stable, affordable housing to individuals and families who would not otherwise have access. Coop Members learn skills in effort to to promote housing resiliency, including maintenance skills and fiscal responsibility, all while making strides in their personal lives to fulfill their dreams.

Our Impact

The Knoxville Housing Cooperative (KHC) understands that when people are given equitable opportunities, they lift themselves up. When an individual’s housing is stable and affordable, they can make strides in other areas of their lives. By providing a supportive network, KHC members are able to take chances to grow that would otherwise not be afforded to them.
